I, Dr. J. B. Naik, am a Professor & Head, Department of Chemical Engineering, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. I did my graduate and post graduate with first class. I have completed my Ph. D. in 1999 from the UDCT, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. During Ph. D. I have received Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) from Govt. of Maharashtra and subsequently Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) from Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi. I was Lecturer, Reader and Associate Professor in the University Department of Chemical Technology, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. I have completed one minor and two major research projects sponsored by UGC as well as one major research project sponsored by CSIR, New Delhi and one major research project sponsored by Nano Mission, DST, New Delhi. Presently one major research project sponsored by DRDO is going on. I am coordinator of Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP-II) sponsored by Word Bank and MHRD, New Delhi as well as Special Assistance Program sponsored by UGC, New Delhi. Moreover, I am a life member of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE); Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE); Indian Desalination Association (InDA); Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) and District coordinator, Association of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.). I had been served as Chairman of Ad-hoc board in Chemical Technology, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. The specific work is on the development of sustained released micro particles/ nano particles of some anti-diabetic, antihypertensive drugs and NSADs, taste masking of anti-depressant drug, formulation development of some herbal drugs, development of some biocompatible polymers and polyelectrolyte (anti scaling agents), I have published/ communicated sixty research papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented more than sixty research papers in national and international conferences. I am a reviewer of six reputed international journals and editorial member of two reputed international Journals.
